Engaged: Fadia & Phillip

26 10 2009

At the past two bridal shows I’ve attended, I have given away a couple of engagement sessions with a custom designed hardcover book.  I firmly believe in giving an actual prize with no strings attached, and it is always fun when the couple realizes they’ve just won a prize worth $450 and don’t have to pay a dime!

Fadia & Phillip were one of the lucky winners this August at the Rocky Mountain Bridal Show.  I had a great time with them on Friday walking through the Garden of the Gods park and enjoying the beautiful (albeit a bit chilly!) day.  They were up for anything, and Fadia even scaled the formations in high heels to get some shots.  Tough women rock!

Tory & Brittany at Garden of the Gods

25 10 2009

Sometimes everything falls into place perfectly….    a beautiful venue, a gorgeous couple, and perhaps the most difficult of all, great weather!  Tory and Brittany’s wedding at the Garden of the Gods Club was perfect from beginning to end.  It seems like just yesterday we were sitting at the coffee house planning their engagement session!

Brittany and Tory, I’m so thrilled that you chose me to photograph your wedding.  You two have been an absolute blast to work with and your enthusiasm made my job so much fun!  Have a safe trip to Hawaii and enjoy a well-deserved rest!

Engaged: Jessica and James

19 10 2009

I am a hopeless romantic, so I got the warm fuzzies when Jessica and James told me they were high school sweethearts!  My parents were high school sweethearts and just celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary this past August.  I’m willing to bet these two have what it takes to go the distance!

Happy to have the early frost gone, we took advantage of the warm, autumn day and the Denver skyline to get some great images.  Who would think you could get such intimate photographs in downtown Denver?  When you have all you need right there in your arms, who needs anything else?

Engaged: Rachel & Brian

5 10 2009

After a crazy summer driving all 0ver the place, trying to work and get settled in, I finally have a chance to settle down and take a breather.  Time to pay some attention to my much neglected blog!

In my continuing quest to become familiar with Denver (this could take a while!), I quizzed all my local friends and got a great recommendation to give Washington Park a try for a photo session…so glad!  It has a great vibe and lots of fun places to shoot.

Despite being concerned that they wouldn’t know what to do for the camera, anyone can see that Rachel and Brian photographed beautifully.  They clearly have a warm and loving relationship and that love shone through in the photographs.  Just check out Rachel’s gorgeous smile…she is going to be a radiant bride next fall!

Jaclyn & Jake – Downtown Bozeman

27 07 2009

Jaclyn is a family friend, so I was THRILLED when I found out she was engaged and wanted me to do her photographs.  We spent the morning out and about in Bozeman, finding fun locations to shoot.  Jaclyn and Jake were up for anything and not afraid of getting mussed up, so we had a blast!

I had so much fun, you two, and I can’t wait for your wedding at The Baxter next year!
